Recital day

What a recital is like

A small recital hall with a grand piano on a low stage and rows of empty chairs in side light
  • In the big room

Recitals are held in the big room, with the grand piano and rows of chairs. Students play one or two pieces, and each ends with applause.

  • Your teacher helps you choose

Teachers help students pick a piece they like and practice it. Nobody is ranked, and nobody has to play.

  • For families

Concert dress is a clean shirt and trousers or a skirt. Arrive early so the student can warm up, silence phones, and clap at the end of each piece.
